Parallels 9 diskimage does not work on Sierra - what are the options?

Hi,
Parallels 9 disk-image does not work on Sierra. What options are there to get Parallels working again? Somewhere in these forums there was mention that an update to 12 is required. Question:
1- Does this offer work if you have a 9 license? https://buy.parallels.com/329/?scope=checkout&id=vXtOGdcepF&crel=cartselection_r1_l1
2- Since my 8 & 9 disk images don't work, will there be a full download available?
3- If the link above is not valid for a 8 upgrade, what can I find the right update.

Hello Alfena@Parallels, Happy New Year!! ALL of my old software works on Sierra including Office 2008! and Adobe CS3 which all had to be re-installed using the same disk image technology Parallels is no longer supporting. This awfully smells like deliberate sabotage at the level of VW to force your customers to buy your latest products (also by judging your aggressive marketing strategy of now selling annual licenses and having been the first software I can remember to insert update advertisements when starting your software). I am sure that we humans are innovative enough to out-innovate such capitalist attitudes, There seem to be plenty of Parallels alternatives - even free ones - that I am exploring. I will for sure not support companies that are clearly openly operating at profit maximization before customer satisfaction. Good Luck!!

What about Parallels version 8?
Trying to install. I open the .dmg file, click on install and get the message that "Parallels can be installed from disk image only. Please open the DMG file and try again"
Classic Catch 22 loop. I open the DMG, and am told I need to open the DMG in order to open the DMG. Advice?

Parallels is a software company that focuses its resources on creating virtualization software to support both the Mac and Windows communities. Since Apple releases new operating systems every year, we have to keep our software up-to-date to be compatible with every new OS X getting released annually. This development is very resource-consuming and comes with cost, and unlike Apple (which sells a lot of hardware products and able to afford free-of-charge OS upgrade) it is not feasible for Parallels to offer no charge upgrades to the new versions of Parallels Desktop.

I also recommend you to subscribe to Parallels newsletter in your account at https://account.parallels.com/ to get information on all the offers and promotions Parallels runs from time to time.
