Parallels and Windows 10 - Weird Dot Underscore Files

    Hi Group!
    We are trying to create a base Windows 10 VM image to deploy and noticed when we check under the View tab, to show Hidden Items, we see hundreds upon hundreds of these ._ files. Anyone know what this is or what's creating them? Parallels version 12.2.1 in Sierra 10.12.6 and Windows 10 (Enterprise 1709). Here's a screenshot of what the C: drive looks like:

    Hi @alexg , sorry for the delay. No we did not mount anything to the VM. Or vise versa. Which is why I don't understand where are all these hidden files are from. Or what's generating them. They're all over this VMs W10 operating system. is there a way to keep the windows environment and the mac separate from each other?

    You can disable file sharing integration by switching off the option in the VM configuration.
