Parallels cannot open VM

Hi,
vm not available.png
probably after upgrade from Parallels desktop 11 to version 16, my app cannot open virutal machine with my Windows 10. Attached screenshots with error message (screen shot 1).


Even when I locate .pvm file, Parallels cannot open it.

Should I downgrade back to version 11 to get all my accounting files for last 8 years? Any suggestion please?

Hello,
do you have any backup copy of your VM?
Could you also right click on your VM file and choose "Show package content" and share the screenshot of the new opened window here?
 
Hi,
I have just sorted it out. It was not problem of Parallels. I have all my files in cloud with local copy of the files on my computer. I have later noticed that there is a cloud icon (see screen shot above), which means that such file needs to be downloaded from cloud (no local copy). After downloading everything works ok. Apology for taking your time!

We are glad to hear that the issue is resolved. You can move the PVM file to a different location that is not backed up by the cloud.
