Parallels Desktop 6.0.12106 and Ubuntu 11.10 with kernel 3.0.0-12-generic

Hi folks,
I've installed Ubuntu 11.10 64bit in a VM on Parallels Desktop 6.0.12106, Ubuntu are using the kernel 3.0.0-12-generic.
My problem can be summarized as follow: parallels tools doesn't install on that VM
I've tried to patch them using instruction listed here: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=112611
but it doesn't work.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.6

Someone can help me?

Unfortunately, I am now running Parallels 7... so I cannot ensure that my earlier patch will continue to work with later versions of Parallels 6 Tools.

It's been reported that with later versions of Parallels Tools you have to repackage up the kmods directory.
