There must be more to the patch than the Retina support...

I was just wondering if there was a complete change log of fixes available.

After I upgraded from Parallels 6 to Parallels 7 I had issues with Parallels not being able to register from within the application and issues with Parallels performing any in-app downloads. The Windows 8 Preview files are an example of this and ironically, the same "Unknown Error" occurred when attempting to submit the problem report.

I was in a long back and forth with "Technical Support Engineers" via e-mail that seemed to be getting no where. It had become apparent from the Parallels System Log that the HTTP requests were failing within Parallels. I confirmed this by performing a packet capture and noticed that after the DNS query, no traffic left the application before or after the error message.

Anyway, to make a long story short, before installing Build 7.0.15098, I attempted to register and download the win8 files again - it failed. So I updated, and now it all works.

I am very happy that the issue was resolved - however, I still want to know what happened. So the single bit about retina support in a 300+ MB patch left me wanting.

In any case, thank you for the update!

I am once again a happy Parallels customer.

Cheers.

Greg

How long does this update take to load? My update has been running for over an hour now. The blue indicator bar took less then a couple minutes to get 2/3s of the way across then stopped progressing. Can I just cancel out and start again, or will this create more problems?

Tim

Ok, it works fine now.
