Parallels desktop asking for old licence but not accepting it

Just purchased parallels desktop 12 but when activating it asks for an old licence as upgrading but the old version was uninstalled a long time ago and the only key I can find it is not accepting. Any advice?

Are you trying to enter Parallels Desktop 9 key to activate Parallels Desktop pro edition? If that's not the case, let us know the upgrade license key version which you've entered during the activation process.

I just accepted offer to upgrade from Parallels Desktop 9 to pro edition.
However, when entering the key from previous version activation does not go through. What can i do?
