Parallels Desktop For Mac loses shared folder.

I have a peculiar issue where Parallels will be unable to connect to a shared drive on Mac.

The drive is mapped to the Mac from another Windows 7 PC and then shared with the Guest OS (Windows 7) through Mac.

However sporadically Parallels will be unable to connect to the drive, while it's still connected to the Mac and fully accessible outside of Parallels. The quick fix is to remove the share from Parallels and then reshare it and open Windows back up. Then the drive can be found again via Network Discovery.

The quick fix only lasts a few days and a couple reboots til it goes missing again. At first I thought it might be a Windows issue, but the locally shared folders aka the folders that exist on the Mac are still findable and connectable.

Any ideas?

You can add the required folder manually using the Custom share folders option available with the Virtual Machine's configuration. You can follow this KB article to add a custom folder to the Virtual Machine. Let us know how it works.
 
That's how it's added currently. The problem is that it won't stay connected inside the Guest OS. The solution is to remove it from the Custom Share Folders and re-add it. However, I would like to find a permanent fix as it happens 2-3 times a week.

I am suffering from the same problem. Almost everyday, Parallels loses it's connection to all my shared folders. I am constantly un-sharing and re-sharing them to maintain connectivity. This is a huge annoyance and driving some of my employees away from using Parallels at all.
 
I have the same problem with the only shared folder I have defined: Google Drive.
It works for sometime, then stop to works.
Google Drive for Mac 84.0.10.0, working perfectly on macOS host.
The environment is Windows 10 Pro N 22H2 running on Parallels Desktop PRO 18.3.2 (53621) running on macOS Catalina 10.15.7
The solution is to disable the shared folder and re-enable it.
Any suggestion appreciated.
