Parallels Desktop Pro Edition Subscription?

I am not sure how the subscription is supposed to work. I have to options for upgrading my version of Parallels:

(1) Purchase Parallels Desktop Standard Edition
or
(2) Purchase Parallels Desktop Pro Edition Subscription

If I were to cancel the subscription, would I still be able to use Parallels Desktop? I realize that once the subscription is expired I would not be entitled to future updates, but what I want to know is would I still be able to use Parallels Desktop once the subscription expired? Does Parallels Desktop Pro Edition Subscription revert to the "standard edition" once the subscription expires? Thanks.

Please note that if you deactivate your Parallels Desktop auto-renewal, you will still be able to use Parallels Desktop till the next-renewal date.
However, once the Parallels Desktop subscription has expired, you will not be able to use it, nor it will revert to any other edition.
If you wish to continue to use Parallels Desktop, you may either renew the subscription, buy a new Parallels Desktop Subscription or purchase a Parallels Desktop one-time license.
