Parallels Desktop Update

Hi I have a IMAC with core 5 , 1 TB hard drive and 16 GB of memory. The MAc version is 10.6.8 Parallels Desktop 6. Here Parallels makes the time difficulties. Either he will not boot or there is an error message 8809. Now he needs a little longer to boot up. Only Time Machine I could bring the version to run. My question is can I install a new version of Parallels with the MAC OS version? If so, what version of Parallels and he also takes the data and programs of Parallels 6 ?

As you have Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac , you are not eligible to purchase an upgrade version of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac, please refer http://kb.parallels.com/116776 to know about End-Of-Life Policy of Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac.
Also Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac is not compatible with your Mac OS X 10.6.8, please refer the KB article http://kb.parallels.com/122662 to know the system requirements of Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac.
Your Mac OS X is compatible with older version of Parallels, such as Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac.
Parallels Online Store only offers the latest version of Parallels Desktop.
Thus, if you would like to buy any of the previous versions, please check if it is offered by your local re-sellers or authorized online re-sellers like Apple, Amazon etc.
