Parallels-Dev Windows environment on Macbook 12"

I'm looking forward to change my Mac Book Pro Retina 13" and I'm sincere, Macbook is that light and portable, other than having Retina resolution, it makes me thinking about it.
Maximum portability and when I need it, chance of connecting an external monitor.
Only question regards the performance matter.
Would it be enough to make run a Parallels virtual machine plus Windows 8.1/10 + Visual Studio 2017? Projects are not that huge (solutions of 15-20 projects max) but I need to work flawlessly and keeping a good battery management.

Any experience 'bout that?

I use a macbook12 since July 2015 for also windows development and it works perfect, Of course you have so slow moment, but it' so nice to have a lite laptop
with both system. I use to create database software.
