I have recently installed Parallels 13.2.0 on a Macbook Pro Retina and I want to use the installation assistant to transfer a Windows XP partition. Whether I try to do so via network connection or try to first transfer the XP partition to an external drive, the process is being interrupted because of some "hard disc problem" that I am to solve with "chkdsk /F". I have done so half a dozend times, I have defragmented the XP partition - to no avail. There is indeed one bad cluster (4 Kb) in said partition, but it is marked as bad and doesn't contain any data. Is there any other way to transfer the partition?

If your XP computer BIOS has an option to check the disk for bad blocks and mark phiysical bad blocks it might be an option. Also you can try to use a special software for your physical disk (Hitachi? WD? Seagate?)

Das ist eine Samsung HM160HC. Mein BIOS hat keine chkdsk option.
