I'm using Parallels Desktop for Mac 3.0 on my iMac witz multiple users. My problem is, that i cannot accses to the VM image from an other user. I always getting the error that the VM image HD is corrupt or missing (but its possible to select it). When i start the image in my own user account the image starts without a problem. I already set the user grants for Parallels and the image to read/write for all users (even for guests). What am i doing wrong?

Are you trying to access the VM while your account has it opened?
No, i always close Parallels before i switch to another user. I've also installed Parallels again but that doesen't help either. I still have only access with my own user with witch i createt the image, but every other user can't open the installation. And yes, the image isn't in my home directory, i changed the path and installed the image directly on the harddisk.

placing VM configuration with hardidsk to the public folder isn't enough. You need also check whether another users that would like to use this VM have necessary rights (on read/writing) to VM files and especially to harddisk. Because read/write operations to this file doing from Parallels process which owner is user that startup application. So if your filesystem supports ACL then you must to add to the virtual harddisk image file necessary ACLs for corresponding users. Or if you using file system with classic files access politics (for owner user, owner group and for others) then you can create group and add there necessary system users, set read/write permisions for the owner group and specify as owner group of harddisk image file group that you configured at system.

I don't quite understand what you want to tell me? As you can read in my first post i've already set the permissions for the whole programm and the whole folder where the image and setup files are stored to read/write for all users (even guests). Or am i doing something wrong with this?

I've managed to solve the problem. I used BatChmod to set all user permissions to read/write and unlocked the fuolder and all sub items. Now it works with every user.
