Parallels not releasing ram on exit

on my macbook pro 2012 model, 13 inch, and running 10.8.5. I have noticed i was having memory issues with lots of paging and a 4g page file on a pc with 8g of ram. My pc would get slow with long wait. times to pen a menu I have narrowed it down to the application Parallels. I resume and suspend a windows 8 vm with 2g of ram to use my dreamwever tools.

The purge command is a temporary fix for this very annoying issue.

any one else suffering from this issue?
