Hi all, will Parallels run on the new iMacs with a Fusion Drive? I read that Windows will be installed on the harddrive side. Does Parallels recognize a Fusion Drive? If not I would have to buy the SSD. Do you have any informations? Thanks
Parallels works on OSX, to OSX programs the Fusion Drive is seen only as one drive, and OSX manages seamlessly what goes into each drive, as such Parallels and (non bootcamp) virtual machines will most likely work as with any other drive, and you shouldn't notice any difference. As for bootcamp, it has to be written to the HDD because windows doesn't know anything about the Fusion Drive, Parallels should be able to pick up the bootcamp installation.
