To answer your question; as of the time of this writing - No.

They're working on this issue.
How much faster: as the same difference between Core 1 and Core 2 on the Mac I suppose. 64 bit doesn't make a processor faster except for some intensive computational (especially scientific) apps where floating point is the core of the algorithm. Or something like this... 64 bit specialists may give you a better answer but in every day task you woun't notice particolar improvements.
