Hi Parallels RAS Support,

I (it@julies.com.my) have acquired Parallels RAS 45 licenses recently (valid till 2024 Dec). We tried to install in that server but fail to have this error message. We are able to use that server browser chrome to log in my.parallels.com portal (using it@julies.com.my credentials).

Pls Help urgently. Thx.

Hi, We have a Proxy configured. I unchecked the proxy in this "configure proxy" window after I opened up the connections in the firewall.

Server name to Parallels license servers, there are 2
I created 2 rules in the firewall
Source = RASServerName to Destination = 104.18.170.3 Service=https
Source = RASServerName to Destination = 104.18.171.3 Service=https
Source = Any to Destination=RASServerName (you may need to just add the parallel ips as the source instead of "Any". having my Network guy clean it up tomorrow).

This worked when I was testing with the powershell commands below but I still had to uncheck the proxy box when it popped up and after that it let me register.

PowerShell:
Test-NetConnection my.parallels.com -Port 443
Test-NetConnection ras.parallels.com -Port 443
Test-NetConnection s.parallels.com -Port 443

Hope this helps.

The error "Parallels RAS failed to establish connection to licensing server" typically happens due to network issues, firewall settings, or licensing server problems. Here are some steps to resolve it:

  1. Check Internet Connection: Ensure the server hosting Parallels RAS has a stable internet connection.

  2. Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Verify that any firewall or antivirus software isn't blocking Parallels RAS's access to the licensing server. You may need to whitelist the Parallels RAS application or its ports.

  3. Proxy Settings: If you're using a proxy, ensure Parallels RAS is configured to use the correct proxy settings.

  4. Licensing Server Status: Sometimes, the licensing server itself might be down temporarily. Check Parallels' support or status page for any server outages.

  5. Port Configuration: Make sure ports 443 and 80 are open, as Parallels RAS uses these to communicate with its licensing server.

  6. Retry Activation: In the Parallels RAS Console, navigate to Licensing and click Retry Activation to reconnect with the licensing server.
If the issue persists, contacting Parallels Support may help, as they can provide further troubleshooting based on your specific setup.
