parallels running OS X mavericks limited display

hi there
i have several OS X virtual environs set up and a common problem i have with all of them is that the video display resolution is stuck on
1024 x 768
as i have a nice widescreen monitor this is really annoying to the point that i tend not to use them.
please help.

Hi steveA1, This might have occurred because of the process responsible for dynamic resolution ('dynres') hasn't been started properly. We would suggest you to try this article to fix the issue.
