I'm using Parallels for Linux. I'd LIKE to use it for winXP, but no luck there 
It just won't install on XP.
Anyhow, so it's fast enough (not as fast as it should be though) for the first 10 minutes or so. After a few minutes it becomes impossibly slow, so slow the menus take about 2 minutes to draw! It's impossible to even shut down and restart from within Linux as I'd need to take 1 hour to pull up the menus, click restart on the new window.
So I just have to stop the VM from Parallels, before restarting.
It's really disapointing cos I hear so many good things about Parallel's speed
For the record, I have a MacBookPro, 2GB of RAM! 2ghz, and Parallels I've given 768MB.
Why does it slow down after a while? I seem to notice that just switchjing to other apps (the Finder), and then back, slows Parallels down ridiculously. Is that right???? Why the hell would swithcing to the finder slow parallels down? I didn't open any new apps, just switch.
Someone help me make Parallels fast no matter what apps I switch to and back from.
