Just Receive my LaCie 3Tera Thunderbolt to install wit a IMac middle 2012 (with DVD) with 1Tera internal disk drive
My Parallels software is on the way....

I need to run Windows from time to time (light use - No Gaming)

My idea was to partition the external drive like this — Tell me if it make sense and what you think I should do?

1— Top Partition for a complete bootable clone of my disk with CarbonCC Cloner —> 1Tera
2— Middle partition of 500g for Parallels - Ideally I like to run one XP version to work in and I like to tests web sites on Explorer for Windows 7 and 8
3— Bottom partition for Time Machine and other temporary crap.

Is This make sense for performance and flexibility?

By the way — I have a serial number for my Parallels order but I don’t think this is the support code, how do I register all that when I receive Parallels?

    Thanks!
