Parallels Tools Help

I just purchased and downloaded Parallels Desktop 4.0 from the internet. When I finished installing the software, The Parallels Tools was not installed. Everytime I tell it to Parallels Tools, whether from the taskbar or the button on the bottom right of the Parallels Desktop Window, nothing happens at all. Anyone have any experience of this happening?

What Operation Sytem did you installed (Windows or Linux)? Any error message?
Please try to do the following ->
1) Start Virtual Machine
2) Parallels Desktop Menu -> Devices -> Connect image -> Macintosh HD -> Library->Parallels-> Tools-> prl-tools-win.iso (if you have Windows Virtual Machine), prl-tools-lin.iso (Linux)

It's a Windows XP Operating System, sorry. No error messages. I just tried what you suggested and when I got to the last part, it wouldn't let me click on "prl-tools-win.iso". That option was faded and I couldn't select it. Any ideas?
