Parallels Tools installation in Ubuntu 10.10 failed

Ubuntu 10.10 installed (express option) in a flash and like a dream. But the Parallels Tools installation failed. Install error log attached. Any ideas, folks?

As from the information provided I understand that you are facing an issue with the installation of Parallels Tools in Ubuntu 10.10 version. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I am afraid that the Ubuntu 10.10 version is not supported in Parallels Desktop( for now). Please refer the below link to know more on the supported Guest Operating Systems:

Parallels Tools now available for Ubuntu 10.10

They are included in the latest software update that I downloaded and installed yesterday.
