Trying to create a Windows 7 guest VM on a Mac 10.6.7 host. Migrating existing system using the "over the network" method. All files transferred great.
It looks as if the VM has been created just fine, but the process won't finish. It is currently stuck with the Windows VM window showing a progress bar as if it is booting up. The bottom of the window frame says Parallels Tools need to be installed.
When I try to tell it to install the tools(through the Parallels menu) it asks for a Parallels CD to be inserted. The problem is, this is a download version of Parallels, so there is no disk to insert, and it won't allow me to browse to the .dmg Parallels install file that was downloaded from the Parallels site. Any ideas?
Any help would be appreciated!
