Parallels upgrade not working

I recently bough an upgrade license for paralles since the parallel 13.2 wouldnt let me use my old key . After the purchase when i tried to enter the upgrade key it told me to confirm the old key which resulted in the message "Unable to activate Parallels Desktop,The product key of a previous version of Parallels Desktop has been not accepted on the license server"
