Parallels VM process continues to run after I quit Parallels Desktop.app

I recently realized via Activity Monitor.app that Parallels VM process continues to run, even after quitting Parallels Desktop.app
//I already tried to uninstall PD. Empty Trash. Verify Mac HD Disk Permission. Reinstall. same bug
would love any help? Thank you
Environment:
macOS Sierra 10.12.3
Parrallels Desktop 12.1.3
VM Windows 10

Ok it looks like <Always Ready in the background> in Startup and Shutdown options preferences is explaining why the VM continues to run even when PD.app is closed. Not a bug, just something counterintuitive to keep in mind in resources allocation!

Dear Benjamin Claude, "Always ready in the background" is an option where if you want to make the virtual machine start automatically when the Mac starts. However, if you quit Parallels Desktop, you will be prompted to choose "Shutdown", "Cancel" or "Suspend" If you choose "Suspend" then your VM should be idle. Thanks!
