.parallels_common_options problem

After I tried to run Parallels Workstation, this screen pops up,

Attention! The configuration file .parallels_common_options, which contains common Parallels Workstation options, was not found or is not accessible in the application's home directory /usr/lib/parallels and therefore it has been created locally. It cannot be placed in the application's home automatically since the current user does not have appropriate access permissions to write to the target directory.
Please close the Parallels Workstation now and copy the file /Users/innerlogic/.parallels_common_options to the application's home directory manually.

I setup that directory and chmod'ed it for read/write access and placed that file in it with read/write access, alas it still gives me that screen and I can't run the application. anyone know why?
