Paste from Office 2013 Excel into Lotus Notes Mac 9 hangs lotus

If I try to paste anything (even a single cell) from Excel 2013 into Lotus Notes Mac it hangs Lotus. If I paste into Excel 2011 Mac and then into Lotus it is fine.

Paste as plain text does work

I did that. No change. Trying to do a straight paste pegs the cpu on Lotus Notes and it goes to not responding. Waiting for several minutes still no response. The only way to get out is to kill Lotus from the Force Quit Applications menu.

For informational purposes -- pastes from Word and Powerpoint work fine.

Did you ever solve this?
I have the same problem when pasting from Excel but natively installed on my Mac.
I can work around it by first paste into Word and then cut/paste into Notes.
 
No and I also now have the problem even from Excel for Mac (14.4.5). And like you, whether from Excel 2013 or 2011 for Mac if I paste into Word and then into Notes it works.
