Seen a great deal of griping about getting support for this issue, hopefully it's not true.
I installed Parallels 3.0 today on a SR MBP, 2.4 Ghz, 2g RAM, running 10.4.10. According to Get Info, PD is Build 4128.0. All permissions are repaired on the disk, just in case, and there is a working copy of Windows XP that boots properly in Boot Camp at the other end.
I installed Parallels, and it seemed to automatically detect a Boot Camp partition, and helpfully named it "My Bootcamp". Wonderous said I, only to be disappointed. The configuration for the VM is shown here:
When I start the VM, the PD dock icon turns into a hourglass themed version of itself, the Bootcamp partition (helpfully named BOOTCAMP) unmounts, and then remounts, accompanied by the following error message:
I'm puzzled. I've tried reinstalling PD, restarting, and a variety of dark rituals. Little help?
