PD10.0.2 causes serious USB device issues

Over the weekend, I updated to PD10.0.2. Yesterday when I was working
I ran into numerous issues with attached USB devices.

Serial port adapters: It did not matter whether the device was Prolific
chipset or FTDI chipset, communications would
get corrupted or the device would simply become
unresponsive.
SOLUTION: revert to 10.0.0 and devices would
work properly.
ST-Micro STLINK2: Simply would get random disconnects to target.
SOLUTION: revert to 10.0.0 and devices would
work properly.

The serial devices exhibited the symptoms in both Win7,SP1 and Win8.1
VMs. Reboots of VMs would sometimes fix the issues for as while.

Bottom line, PD10.0.2 has somehow messed up at least some USB devices
that worked without any issue in PD10.0.0.

System: Late 2013 3.2GHz iMac, 24 GB RAM, OSX10.9.4

I installed PD10.0.2 about a week ago. I am using many USB devices from FTDI and others simultaneously without any problems.

Well, after a week of going back to PD10.0.0, I have not encountered
the issues with USB device disconnects that I had with 10.0.2.

However, there is a general USB issue with PD10. With PD10, VMs
no longer automatically connect to USB devices that were assigned to
"use with this VM". The item in the Parallels menu list is checked, but it does
not actually attach to the VM.

An example, I have a software authorization USB dongle that I used to
keep plugged in all the time. In PD9, I would be able to open a Win8.1
VM and then open the app and all was good.

Now under PD10, doing the same thing I get a dongle not found message.
I look at the Parallels devices menu and it shows the dongle as attached, but in the
Windows device manager it is nowhere to be found. I have to physically
unplug the dongle, and then plug it back in to be recognized.

This happens with a couple other devices that were assigned to "use with
this VM".
 
Yes, this is right. I also have to assign my USB devices mostly again to my VM after restarting the VM. Though, I advices PD to retain them. This USB retain mechanism was not reliable before PD10 and is not with PD10. But, I have simply have to assign them from OS X to VM, I do not need to physically unplug them. So, it is can be done by mouse - and yes, it is annoying.
