I noticed that Device Manager in Windows 8.1 Pro shows that the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Bus Provider system device failed to start unless I configure the VM to support nested VM's. However, if I enable nested VM's performance of parallels lags significantly (as warned in the dialog that pops up when you enable this option).

Is there a way to not support nested VM's without triggering the failure in Device Manager?
