PD12 - OS 10.8 - PD8

I am currently running 10.8 on my iMac that I use with PD8 to run Win XP and Corel Draw (CD) to create my designs and run a program that only runs on Windows to cut my designs with my (older) plotter but I would like to update my machine. Can I update my OS (to the latest) then use PD12 to run an older OSX (10.6.8 to 10.8) so I can continue to use PD8 to run XP and CD?

It seems that you would like to upgrade your Mac OS then install Parallels Desktop 12 inside that you wish to run OS X 10.6.8 VM inside that a XP VM or you can just install Parallels Desktop 12 and use your existing XP VM in it but if you prefer the first option then more resources is needed and you need purchase Pro or Business Edition in-order to enable nested virtualization, which is needed to run a VM inside a VM.
 
So PD12 can run XP? I only saw 7 and higher listed on the overview page so I assumed older versions could not be installed.
