PD8 doesn't seem to use system proxy settings

This is extremely frustrating - I'm using Parallels Desktop 8 from behind a corporate proxy. Lots of other applications are using the system-wide proxy settings just fine, and yet it seems that PD8 refuses to do so. Whenever I:

    1. Check for updates
    2. Attempt activation
    3. Try to register the product

Parallels Desktop will just sit there for a while and come back with some cryptic error message, sometimes with a link to a "solution" that just takes me to the generic knowledgebase web page. I'm almost certain it's proxy settings, because when I take my laptop home, where there is no corporate proxy in effect, I can do all of these things without any problems.

Agreed. Parallels... is there a plan to make this software proxy aware with a future release?

Please reproduce the problem (try to check for updates, for example) and wait till it fails.
Then open up Applications/Utilities/Terminal and copy/past the following string there:

    prlsrvctl problem-report --send

Let me know the IDs so that I could investigate with devs
