PD8-Win8 Screen Corrupted

Hi all,

I have installed the latest version of PD8 and I'm running a VM with Windows 8 Pro x64 on a MBP retina 15".

I'm experiencing a strange issue, both in Full Screen and in Window Mode. After a while the VM runs, the screen gets corrupted, the icons disappear and I can only see multicolor or black squares.

If I remove the support for Direct X in Settings - Hardware - Video, then everything is fine, but slow. I have tried to increase the Video memory to 512 and 1024 Mb and also to reinstall Parallels Tools, but this did not have any effect.

Any suggestion ?

I have made more tests and, probably, I have found the culprit. If I uncheck the Nested VT the problem disappear. Unfortunately I need it for Windows Phone development.

Ah yes, Hyper-V related screen corruption has already been fixed internally. Upcoming PD8 update will address it.
In the meantime you can limit video memory to 256Mb, the problem only surfaces above that limit.
