This is a weird one. I am running Windows 10 in a VM on Catalina.
I have Windows set to open PDFs in the Mac Preview app. This works fine. But if the PDF sits open for a few hours, when I go back to it, the pages will be blank and I will have to close the PDF and re-open it. Anyone seen this or have any idea why it happens or what I can do?
Best guess is this has something to do with the way that Parallels passes the path to the Windows file to Preview -- i.e., it passes a path to some kind of network drive that does not remain persistently connected and so when I go back to the file and it tries to retrieve the pages, the path is no longer valid and it is blank. But is there a way to fix this in some way?
Thanks!
Owen
