Performance - Broker/Gateway to RDS

hello all

we have 3 servers
1. Broker and Gateway on 1 Server (win2025)
2. 2 x RDS with some published apps

We use RAS only with the Client, not Web Interface

if we open the Client App, it connects fast (round about 1 sec) to the Broker/Gateway. that is ok. if i open now one app: it connects to the app, i see the connecting, please wait .... and the connection takes around 7 Secounds to open. it looks like its just the first app. all apps afterwards opens fast.

anybody some recommendation for win2025 settings ?
of some ideas what can be wrong ?

Hi,

Before changing any Windows Server 2025 settings, I would recommend checking the UX Evaluator in the Parallels RAS Console.

It provides a detailed breakdown of the logon process, including authentication, Group Policy processing, user profile loading, and other session initialization steps.

This should help you identify exactly where those 7 seconds are being spent.

I've attached a screenshot from my lab environment to illustrate what you should look for.

Since subsequent applications launch much faster, my first suspicion would be the initial RDS session creation. Once the session is established, additional applications can reuse it through session sharing.

Depending on what the UX Evaluator reveals, Session Prelaunch might also be worth investigating.

Could you share the results of the UX Evaluator and logon details for the first application launch?
