Plain or Expanding -- and -- Split Disk

Hello.

I am about to install Windows Vista on a Parallels Desktop VM.

Any recommendations between plain and expanding. I am thinking of going with expanding, but I just wanted to get a second opinion. I have 100 GB total hard disk space on my MacBook Pro, so I was going to do an Expanding up to 50 GB (should I go larger?)

Also, to do or not to do Split Disks?
