As there is no 2X Portal forum I'll post this here

We have an environment running the client install direct connection internally, we are wanting to implement the portal for remote access. This issue is we only want certain users to be able to have remote access. Has anyone found a solution to this or had this issue? Can you restrict portal access or will i ahve to do this through IIS. Perhaps a future feature?

I don't believe this can be set from the web portal, so it should be more of a feature request you could log with support
 
2X introduced radius support on the latest 10.5 release so I would try setting up 2nd level auth on the new version
