Hi there, if the workstation is an XP, 2000 or higher you can install the agent.

Please note that only Full desktop is supported for non Terminal server machines.

I have a little server farm with 3 xp sp2 machines that run a program called "XPUnlimited". XPunlimited allows for 3 concurrent logins to xp effectively creating a mini term server. Then I use 2x app server to push my apps to users.

Tell me - do you get the error stating "The Session was disconnected becasue another user has connected to the session." a little while after exiting your applications?

I get this error when trying to use XP to host applications and using WinConnect Server XP which is a similar concept to XPUnlimited. I was hoping XPUnlimited resolves this issue - but havn't got around to trying it out in a test environment.

    Thanks!

I don't get any errors at all. The only time I receive an error is if to users try the same account name at same time, which never happens now because I use the AD users feature in XPunlimited since I have a domain server.

Nice - We use AD as well. I just confirmed by installing the Demo of XPUnlimited Enterprise 2.2 - IT does work without a problem with 2X's ApplicationServer. So if anyone else comes accross this post and wants to run a Terminal Server on xp and wondering which solution to go with - Stay away from WinConnect XP and use XPUnlimited.. You need XPUnlimited 2.2 if you want to use it with a domain, otherwise you can use v1.8 (Classic Version) - for local user only authorization.

So to answer my own question - There is no error message after disconnecting from applications. The error message i was receiving when using WinConnect XP was due to the fact that WinConnect XP does not properly disconnect Remote Desktop sessions when you log off - instead it just reconnects you right back to the server and presents you with the login screen again. - This was causing 2X Application Server to display that error message above because it detected the start of a new session.

    - Whew - This is a great day :) Thanks for your input and feedback!

Glad to here you are resolved on this.
Don't know if you read the faq on xpunlimited about the fact that the demo version never really expires? It just retains the demo banner.
Just FYI for the users that don't mind the demo nag.
