Opensolaris (server) with Sun VirtualBox (currently 3.0.8). ETA on VDS server and/or at least client support for osol? thx
VMWare linux 64bit, VirtualBox linux 64bit After long time experimenting with 2X assistant on a VMWare Server 2.0 host (SLES10SP3/64bit) and always getting error code 5, we found out, that 64bit version is not supported on linux hosts. The list of supported VDI providers does not state that ("linux" in my opinion means all versions). There is no reason to use VDI on 32bit systems for production use, as 3GB main memory are far too small for more than two virtual machines. Why is 64bit linux not supported with VMWare Server, and linux not at all with VirtualBox? These are the two Systems we would like to run VDs.
