Printing Lag Time and Blank Pages

* Printing from Universal Print Driver
* Universal Print Driver set to Choose Printer and EMF

With this setup, user compliants that when they print it takes 20 seconds to get the choose printer box. Once they make the choice it takes another 15 seconds to print. Printing in large volume is a pain.

So we had the users switch to Print to default printer. This removed the fist 20 second lag time. They still get the 15 seconds before it prints. Since then users are complaining that they get a lot of blank pages and some print jobs just get lost.

Finally, one last question. A user cannot set a default drawer on a printer using 2x - but can locally. They can write to their tsprofile.

I had those type of issues (blank pages etc) in AppServer V6.1 with EMF, but have not experienced them in 6.2 (build 512).

In order to have users print to multiple output trays, I believe you will need to configure two separate printers on the client PC. In each printer, you then configured it to default to a certain tray. You would obviously need to setup 2X to prompt for a local printer so you can choose the appropriate queue based on tray defaults. Not ideal, but it should work.
