    Hi,

I have a problem printing with my HP Design Jet 500 42in plotter. It won't print anything.
Error message appears, "cannot open ./private/var/spool/cups/tmp/016255080277..." and "Unable to convert PostScript file".
It's connected to AirPort Extreme base station.
I use MacOSX Lion, Parallels Desktop for Mac 7.0.14922 and Windows 7 on it.
I have other two printers connected to AP Extreme (HPCLJ3000n and KonicaMinolta biz hub c220) and they work just fine.

I think it's probably driver problem. I installed Vista x64 PS and Win7 x64 drivers and none of it worked.

Windows installs default HP LaserJet 2800 driver (to all printers) and it sends printing jobs to plotter but I can not use it because it doesn't support wide formats.

    Help anyone?

By default Windows installs HP LaserJet 2800 driver to all printers.

There are two possible ways you can try:

    1.
    A. Go to Virtual Machine > Configure > Hardware > Print and disable the printers sync.
    B. Set up printing via Apple Bonjour: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4990
    C. Try to print

    2.
    A. Go to Virtual Machine > Configure > Hardware > Print and disable the printers sync.
    B. Physically connect your printer to your Mac via USB
    C. When Parallels Desktop asks where you want to use this device, select to use it in the Virtual Machine
    D. Install printer's native drivers
    E. Try to print
