prl_cc does not like program with 'é' in path...

Dear support,

When I execute a program with a 'é' in the path (the program launches normally and works), I get a window:

title: c:\program files (x86)\ElliÃÂ(c) Computing....
Message: Windows does not find: "c:\program files (x86)\ElliÃÂ(c) Computing.... "...
process: prl_cc.exe

it seems that prl_cc is trying to re-encode a string which is already in Unicode as if it was in CP1252...

Any idea? it is very annoying.
I have PD4 3522 (checked the log for 3540, there is nothing about that)

ECMerge is our own application (you can download it on elliecomputing.com site).
The problem appears when simply running the application from the link in Windows Vista 64 bits start menu, strange enough when started by the (32 bit) installer itself at the end of installation the problem does not show.

Armel, please clarify is it the only application unable to run from start menu? Have you tried to launch any other custom applications installed if there are any?

I just copied the well-known tool "Depends.exe" from the Windows SDK (32 bits version), into a directory called "àçé" in the "c:\program files (x86)" directory

running the exe immeidately shows the error message (though the program runs normally):

(the (c) is the copyright character below)

title: c:\program files (x86)\àçÃÂ(c)\DEPENDS.EXE
message: Windows ne trouve pas 'c:\program files (x86)\àçÃÂ(c)\DEPENDS.EXE'. Vérifiez que vous avez entré le nom correct puis réessayez.
