Problem: Cannot drag files from Mac to VM after upgrading to Windows 8.1

The header gives the problem. This happened to me on two VMs, one freestanding and the other BootCamp. I tried adjusting the sharing options, everything, with no help.

Finally, I reinstalled Parallels, not with the newer version, Build 9.0.23136 (Revision 932290; Wednesday, October 16, 2013), which I didn't know about yet, but with the next older version. That fixed the problem.

I expect that the newer version will have the same effect, although it may just be that you have to reinstall Parallels to each VM after the 8.1 upgrade.

Sound like the same problem I posted.

Upgrade your Parallels to the latest version and reinstall the Parallels tools. That seems to be the solution. I was able to solve it without even upgrading Parallels (because I didn't know about the upgrade) and just reinstalling the Tools using the Parallels menu while in the VM.
