Problem Installing Windows

Okay, here's the story:

About three weeks ago I installed the trial version of Parallels for my MacBook Pro 17 Inch Core 2 Duo. I ran Windows XP Tablet PC Edition..., it worked flawlessly. After the trial ran up, I finally purchased a copy of Parallels [DVD Version]. Though, I removed the original trial software and installed the DVD software. However, the DVD software, when setting up a virtual machine, would force me into a restart [the screen would turn black and leave me no other option].

So, I went on Parallels and installed the trial, again, and entered in my activation key. It worked. I can now set up a virtual machine..., though, here's where I get stuck.

After dealing with this screen for approximately fifteen minutes, I decided to restart the virtual machine..., only to get this screen.

Any comments and / or suggestions would be sincerely appreciated as I look forward to using this product once more.

if you move your mouse over the hard disk icon in the lower right corner of parallels, what does it say for

Have you installed available updates?

I've had the same problem with an older version of PD
After I installed an update the problem was solved.
Good luck!
