Problem to upgrade to Parallels 11

Hello, I had a license for Parallels Desktop 8 and was led (from the program) to a link to upgrade to 11.
I paid for the upgrade for version 11, but when I tried to active the license I became aware that the license for my 8 version is not valid for the upgrade license.

What can I do now?

Do I suppose to I have to buy Parallels 9 now?, It is not apparent on the Parallels website where to buy it. Could you provide a link ?
Is this going to be more expensive than if I had just bought 11 outright ? This really should have been explained more clearly in the upgrade process.

I do have the same problem, too. I had a license for Parallels Desktop 8 and already paid for the upgrade to Version 11, but it is not valid.
What shall I do next? I am lost now, and cannot continue my works.
