Problem un/reinstalling application server client.

A user with windows xp sp2 is experiencing problems with the 2x client. It starts but hangs before logon to 2x server. It has to be killed through taskmgr.

I tried to uninstall, but it hangs when it is about to finish. The same thing goes for reinstall.

I reinstalled windows installer 3.1 but that didn't help. Do any of you have any pointers for me?

What do you mean "It starts but hangs before logon to 2x server"?
Does it hang when it tries to get the list of applications or when you double click on an application??

Do you experience it only on one Client?

It hangs before listing the applications. I can't click any buttons (options etc.) It is only one Client.

In taskmgr the 2x application is listed as not responding.
