Problem using voice programs

One of the things I wanted to use parallels for was voicee chatting, Namely ventrilo until they get the codecs working properly on the Mac version. The problem is that while the system sound and everything works perfectly and the other people in the channel can hear me I cant hear them.. Have I set something up in the Vm incorectly?
 
Pardon for not updateing this. I just needed to restart windows. Had cramed a bit to much on it and it got a little confused. everything works fine now. Question though is there a way to seet multiple resoolutions? So when I had it fullscreen it would be one and another when I had it windowed?The VM OS that is

Setup custom resolutions in the Parallels configuration of your host OS. Then they show up in the display settings of the guest OS.

but will it change resolutions when I switch from windowed to full screen?

Yes, it increases the resolution when you go to fullscreen. I don't mind helping, but you could have tried that for yourself.
