problem with coherence mode

Hi, everytime I want to switch with my parallels desktop win7 installation to coherence mode I get an error message and nothing happen on my iMac. I have the same setup (with one difference) on Macbook Pro and there the coherence mode runs without problems. With the Macbook I work on the way and local with a Thunderbolt screen.

Someone here have an idea what's the cause for this coherence mode problem?

This was a known issue. In Win 7, go to your Display preferences and select Adjust Resolution. Make sure Multiple Displays is set to Extend these displays. Then try to enter Coherence.

I've tried this but I can't save the settings for display reference. After clicking the assume button the display settings switch back. Do you have any idea
