Problems updating Parallels 4 (3844) -> 3846)

1) updating parallels 4 app (3844) -> parallels 4 app (3846) gave no errors
2) updating parallels tools gave no problems
3) with updated parallels tools (3846) got error when shutting down:

the instruction at referenced memory XXXXXXXX at the memory XXXXXXXXXX could not be read
"can't quit explorer app due to memory problems.

tried on other machine, same procedure, same error !

using a virtual machine went back to parallels 4 app (3844), problems solved.
 
Parallels Tools problem

I also had a problem updating from 3844 to 3846. I couldn't get Parallels Tools to install. I kept getting a failure warning informing me system/library/extensions/cdsda Audio Captive Support.kext wasn't installed correctly. Further instructed me to reinstall or contact vendor for solution. I'm contacting you for your support on this issue. In the meantime, I restored to my previous 3844 version on Snow Leopard.
