Provide VM configuration option to free up disk space upon shutdown

Would you use a configuration option to free up disk space after every shutdown?

    Freeing up disk space saves substantial space for me so I do it whenever I shut down the VM. It's a hassle to find the menu item and push the button, yet the actually freeing takes no time at all. Could I have a configuration option to make it automatic? Thanks.
