publish explorer.exe

hi,

I am evaluating application server but when I publish explorer.exe on the windows terminal server, 2x starts a complete new shell ...
is this normal?

Yes it is because 2X probably did not work on intercepting calls to explorer.exe.
One possible workaround is to make a copy of explorer.exe to explorer2.exe and publish it. You can then add the command line switches for explorer to start for example showing a certain drive letter (your user home directory for example).
 
2X ApplicationServer v4.1 can publish commonly used applications such as Windows Explorer and Control Panel. These apps are called as 'Predefined Applications' and it is very easy to publish such application with this new version.
